About the Arist

I grew up in Wisconsin and attended the University of Eau Claire, WI, where I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in pottery.  I then went on to earn my Masters degree in K-12 Art Education at the University of Minnesota. I have taught elementary and middle school art in Minnesota and Maine.  When I am not in the classroom, I am busy creating functional, yet decorative pottery out of my home studio. My pottery has been exhibited and sold at several art festivals around the country and you can find my pieces at the following galleries: One Lupine-Bangor,ME, The Hammond Street Senior Center-Bangor, ME, Harry's Pottery-Troy NY, and Wild Fern-Albany, NY. 
Many places, memories and textures inspire the unique designs on my pottery.  Some of which include; my mother's wild flowers that filled our house growing up, vintage fabrics/ lace, and soft, organic shapes found in nature.
